Preceded in death by parents, sister Hilda Sleppy-Knepp, brother Richard Thomas and step-mother Cora (Naugle) Thomas. Survived by wife of 53 years, former Evelyn Adams: sons, Van at home, Eugene of Boswell RD, and Larry married to the former Jean Palmer, Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Margaret Howarth, Baltimore, Md., Viola Page, Hollsopple RD, Madeline Kadilac, Jerome, and Melvin Dean Thomas, Johnstown. Member of Jerome Post 802 American Legion, Jenner Rod and Gun Club, Hooversville Post 7565 VFW, and Jerome Nest 556 Polish Falcons of America. Army veteran of World War II. Retired line chief for former Penelec Power Co. with 41 years of service. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Larry C. Hoover officiating.
