  Oren G. "Bud" Thomas, 78, 829 Drexel Ave., Johnstown, formerly of
  Mechanicsburg and Boswell, died evening of March 22, 1984, at home.  Born
  March 15, 1906, in Blough, son of Zach and Ada (Ringler) Thomas.  Preceded
  in death by parents; sisters, Hilda, Ethel, Vivian and Evelyn; and one
  brother, Si.  Survived by widow, the former Thelma M. McAchren.  Brother of:
  Espy, married to former Louise Horner, and Lucille Kalmanir, both of
  Boswell; Grant, married to former Empress Dry, El Paso, Texas; Mae, widow
  of Clyde Henry, Broomsfield, Colo.; Dora, widow of Edward Zayaz, Denver,
  Colo.; Beulah, widow of Leonard McGuire, East Sparta, Ohio.  Member of
  Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Johnstown.  Past master and member of
  Lowther Manor Lodge No. 781 F&AM, Camp Hill; Ancient Accepted Scottish
  Rite, Harrisburg Consistory; Perserverance Royal Arch Chapter No. 21;
  Pilgrim Commandery No. 11, Knights Templar; and Zembo Temple, all of
  Harrisburg; and Cumberland County Shrine Club.  Retired employee of the New
  Cumberland Army Depot.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and
  7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where
  service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Peter Naschke.  Interment,
  Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.  Masonic service 4 p.m. Sunday by Lowther Manor
  Lodge.
