Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Hilda, Ethel, Vivian and Evelyn; and one brother, Si. Survived by widow, the former Thelma M. McAchren. Brother of: Espy, married to former Louise Horner, and Lucille Kalmanir, both of Boswell; Grant, married to former Empress Dry, El Paso, Texas; Mae, widow of Clyde Henry, Broomsfield, Colo.; Dora, widow of Edward Zayaz, Denver, Colo.; Beulah, widow of Leonard McGuire, East Sparta, Ohio. Member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Johnstown. Past master and member of Lowther Manor Lodge No. 781 F&AM, Camp Hill; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Harrisburg Consistory; Perserverance Royal Arch Chapter No. 21; Pilgrim Commandery No. 11, Knights Templar; and Zembo Temple, all of Harrisburg; and Cumberland County Shrine Club. Retired employee of the New Cumberland Army Depot. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Peter Naschke.
