She was a daughter of the late George and Lucy Studebaker Rubright, and was born in the village of Summit Mills, Summit Township. The evening before she died, she was not known to be ill, and before retiring for the night, spent a portion of the time writing a letter. Late during the night, sounds were heard emanating from her bedroom, and seemed to indicate that she might be ill. A member of the family hastened to her bedside, and found her unconscious, but not dead. A physician was promptly summoned but before he arrived at the Thomas home, the spirit of Mrs. Thomas had taken its flight. County Coroner Dosch was also summoned to the Thomas home, but an inquest did not seem necessary as the physician called gave the opinion that death was caused by a coronary occulation, a form of heart trouble. Mrs. Thomas was the last surviving member of the George Rubright family, and is survived by her husband, two daughters and three sons, namely: Lucy, wife of Harry Younkin; Irene, wife of Leo Baer, residing near Sand Patch and Keystone Junction; Kenneth, Paul and Ray, of Baltimore, Md. Funeral services were held at the Thomas home, last Sunday, at 3:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. Ira S. Monn, pastor of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church of Salisbury, of which denomination Mrs. Thomas was a member. Interment was in the St. Paul Cemetery, under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas, Salisbury mortician. Meyersdale Republican, December 3, 1942
