Thomas, 90, of Grove City and formerly of Wesley, Pa., and Lawrence, Mass., died July 17, 2001, at Grove Manor, Grove City. Born April 2, 1911, in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late James A. and Mary A. (Schuck) Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M. (Vought) Thomas, one son, Kenneth D. Thomas, three brothers and one sister. He is survived by three daughters: Mary Alice Laird, Lawrence; Roberta Colley, Chelmsford, Mass.; and Patricia Rotharmel, McKeesport; 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was a brother of Ellen Bittner, Detroit, Mich., and Hazel Shaffer, Duquesne. Percy was a retired foreman in the passenger car department of Merchants Tire of Lawrence. He attended Zion Wesleyan Methodist Church, Sandy Lake. Services were held July 20 at Jamison Funeral Home, Harrisville, with the Rev. Jack Benninger officiating. Interment, Mt.
