Born May 12, 1940 in Detroit, MI, Son of Espy G. and A. Louise (Horner) Thomas. Preceded in death by parents and nephew Wayne Espy Thomas. Survived by wife, former Linda Piper; sons Robert K. Thomas Sr. married to the former Tina Mitchell, Boswell; Christopher P. married to the former Stacey Rozsa, Southgate MI; daughter Kristine Thomas, Boswell; grandchildren Corianne Buffy, Robert Karl Thomas Jr., Jenna and Alyssa Thomas; brother William G. married to the former Sue Zimmerman, Jennerstown; beloved aunt Lucille Kalminar, Boswell; nephew William Espy Thomas married to the former Michelle Quinn Westland, MI and niece Jennie R. married to Steve Jamieson, Jennerstown. 1958 graduate of the former J.B.J. Joint High school, Boswell where he excelled in vocal and instrumental music. A 1960 graduate of Paul Smith's College, Paul Smith, N.Y. A U.S Navy Veteran, past employee of M.F. Fetterolf Coal Company and Moran Trucking. Former Assistant Superintendent of Mails in Detroit, Michigan. Owned and operated former Boswell News and Hometown Market. A member of Thomas Mennonite Church, Thomas Mills, Ducks Unlimited, the NRA, and Jenner Rod and Gun Club. A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell. The Rev. Wayne Lasure officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Thomas Mennonite Church 112 Swank Road, Hollsopple PA 15935. According to Bob's wishes, his body will be cremated and ashes spread over the old Horner Timber Tract on his beloved Laurel Mountain.
