Thomas, 91, Thomas Mills, died March 7, 2004, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 2, 1912, in Thomas Mills, son of Lawrence and Lizzie (Johns) Thomas. Preceded in death by parents, wife, Erie, sister, Fannie and brother, Oscar. Survived by sisters-in-law, Grace Thomas and Novelda Kissell, brother-in-law, L. Merle Thomas and numerous nieces and nephews. Sem lived on the farm with nephew, Daniel and his wife, Faith and their children, Jason, Laura and Lisa Thomas. A member of the Thomas Mennonite Church. Sem was a dairy farmer and operated a trucking business for much of his life. He was also a direct descendent of Joseph Johns, founder of Johnstown. Friends received 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Thomas Mennonite Church, where service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Don Spiegle officiating.
