  Sophie A. Thomas, 83, Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate, formerly of Somerset,
  died Nov. 14, 1985, at Siemon Lakeview Manor.  Born Dec. 22, 1901, in
  Cumberland, Md., daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith.  Preceded in
  death by her husband, Charles L. Sr.  Survived by one son, Charles L. Jr.,
  Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren; and one brother, Fred Smith, Cumberland,
  Md.  Member of the Calvery United Methodist Church, Somerset.  Friends wiIl be
  received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Friday) at the Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. with the
  Rev. Harry C. Sherry officiating.  Interment, St. John's Cemetery.
