  Mrs. T. Irene Thomas, 80, Greensburg RD 1, formerly of Boswell area, died
  Dec. 11 1987, at District Memorial Hospital, Jeannette.  Born Oct, 4, 1907,
  in Davidsville, daughter of Mahylon and Lydia (Mishler) Miller.  Preceded in
  death by parents: sister, Ivy Slagle; and brothers, Ray and Owen.  Survived
  by husband, Robert C.; daughter, Donna, wife of Walter Castle, Greensburg
  RD 1; granddaughter, Rebecca, wife of Richard Shaw, Irwin; grandsons.
  Thomas Coddington, Jeannette; Timothy Castle, Irwin; and Theodore Castle,
  Greensburg; and two great-grandchildren.  Sister of Leroy, Johnstown;
  William, Williamsburg, Va.; Mrs. Alma Lee, Rillton; and Mrs. Betty Puline,
  Boswell RD 2; also several nieces and nephews.  Member of Laurel Hill Gospel
  Tabernacle, Jennerstown.  Attended Grace Baptist Church, Greensburg.  Observed
  56th wedding anniversary June 27, 1987.  Friends received 7-9 p.m. Saturday
  and 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Service 11 a.m,
  Monday at Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle, where viewing will also be held
  from 10 a.m. until time of service, the Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes.  Interment,
  St. James Cemetery.
