  Wade L. Thomas, 72, Thomas Mills, died Nov. 30, 2002 at Memorial Medical
  Center, Johnstown.  Born Feb. 14, 1930 in Johnstown, son of Menno and
  Florence (Boyer) Thomas.  Preceded in death by parents; stepmother Vera
  (Horne) Weaver-Thomas; infant brother Warren; and brother Wayne.  Survived
  by wife of 47 years, the former Velmer F. (Kennell); children, Barry,
  married to Jill Benna, Thomas Mills, Lori Farabaugh, Boswell RD, and Terri,
  married to Daniel Blackburn, Windber; and seven grandchildren.  A 1947
  graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School, Davidsville.  Former member
  of St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Boswell, and the Flood City Antique Car
  Club.  Member or Ursina Post 946 American Legion, a retired inspector for
  PennDOT.  Army veteran of the Korean War and recipient of the Purple Heart,
  Korean Service Medal and two Bronze Stars.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and
  7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where
  service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday.  Larry C. Hoover officiating.
  Interment, Thomas Mennonite Cemetery, Thomas Mills.  In lieu of flowers,
  memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 1011 Old Salem Road,
  Greensburg, Pa. 15601.
