THOMPSON, Betty Jane

Betty Jane Thompson, 79, Meyersdale, died June 28, 2008, at Meadow View Nursing 
Center, Berlin. Born Feb. 28, 1929, in Meyersdale, a daughter of the late Karl 
and Myrtle (Ravenscraft) Secrest. Also preceded in death by her husband, William 
Alexander "Alex" Thompson, brother, Karl Secrest, and sisters, Alice Noble and 
Hilda Streng. Survived by three children: Cheryl Lynn Hendershot, Meyersdale; 
Barry W. Thompson, and his wife Linda, Berlin; and Betty Jo Thompson, 
Meyersdale. Also two grandchildren, Deana Hendershot and Talia Thompson and her 
fiancee, Jeff Fairbanks. A sister of Robert Secrest, Meyersdale. Friends will be 
received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, 
where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will follow at 
the Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's 
Foundation. Arrangements by the William Rowe Price Funeral Home Inc., 
Meyersdale.
