William "Bill" Thompson, 50, Hyndman RD 1, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 1988, at his residence. He was born May 1, 1938, in Londonderry Township, Bedford County, the son of the late Winfield C. and Mary Helen (Oster) Thompson. He was employed as an automobile mechanic for the H.J. Beamer Ford Sales Inc., Bedford and was affiliated with the Hyndman Church of the Brethren. Surviving a his widow, Marcia E. (Saeler) Thomp son; one son, William L. Thompson, Cumberland, Md.; one daughter, Sheri L. Thompson, at home; three brothers: A. Wayne Thompson and Glenn A. Thompson, both of Hyndman; and Edward M. Thompson, Wellersburg; and six sisters : Mrs. Althea C. Rowley, Wellersburg; Mrs. Mary K. Varner, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. A. Louise Martz, Mrs. Winny L. Martz, Mrs. H. Elaine Logsdon and Mrs. Jean T. Keller, all of Hyndman. Friends were recieved at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, where services were conducted Tuesday at 11 am. by the Rev. Leroy Logsdon. Interment, Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery.
