Thompson, 56, of 960 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg, died April 21, 1981, at Chambersburg Hospital. Born March 17, 1925, in Rockwood, he was a son of the late Norman B. and Daisy (Brandt) Thompson. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Employed at the Letterkenny Army Depot for 26 1/2 years as an equipment operator. He retired Nov. 18, 1980. He is survived by his widow, Blanche (Lape) Thompson: a son and a daughter: Dean E. Thompson Jr., Chambersburg, and Vanessa R. Thompson, at home; a sister and two brothers, Fern Lysebecki, Corrigansville, Md.; Norman E. Thompson and Blaine Thompson, both of Somerset. Services were held at John O. Park Funeral Home, Chambersburg, the Rev. Paul H. Kleffel and the Rev. David D. Kreider officiating. Interment, Norland Cemetery. The Republic, April 30, 1981 [T288]
