Donna L. Thompson, 52, Aiken Avenue, Somerset, died peacefully Jan. 1, 2006, at 
her home surrounded by family and friends. Born Oct. 31, 1953, in New York City, 
daughter of the late Roy R. and Jean M. (Neri) Thompson. Survived by sister, 
Mary Ann, married to Robert Grotto; nephew, Dominick Grotto and niece, Angelina 
Grotto, all of Palm Bay, Fla. and numerous other relatives and friends. A 1971 
graduate of Parkridge High School, New Jersey. A 1972 graduate of the Medical 
Assistance School, New York City. Case worker for Bedford-Somerset Mental Health 
and Mental Retardation. Active worker with Habitat for Humanity and a volunteer 
with the Humane Society of Somerset County. Visitation from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 
p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, 
Boswell, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Dr. Joseph 
M. Beer officiating. Interment, Mount Carmel Cemetery, Jenner Crossroads. 
Memorials to the Humane Society of Somerset County, P.O. Box 182, Somerset, PA 
15501 would be appreciated.
