Thompson, 66, of Mechanicsburg and Hidden Valley, Somerset County, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, in the Hershey Med Center. He was retired after 33 years with IBM and was an auditor for Stabler Co. Inc. of Harrisburg. He was a USAF veteran and was a member of the Board of Directors for 10 years for the Hidden Valley Home Owners Association. He had also been a volunteer for many years with the Foreign Exchange Students Program. Surviving are his wife. Leslie Towle Thompson; two daughters, Laurel Thompson of Washington, D.C., and Lillian Gomes of Belo Hortzonte, Brazil. One son, Dr. Scott Thompson and daughter-in-law, Susan Grimes, of Shelburne, Vt., and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Neill Funeral Home, Camp Hill. Interment, Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
