  Helen R. (Ellis) Thompson, 69, Vanport, formerly of Meyersdale and Berlin,
  died July 16, 1987, at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate.  She was born March 20,
  1918, in Garrett, a daughter of the late Robert Bassett Ellis and the late
  Ellen (George) Ellis-Wilkinson.  Also preceded by her first husband, Robert
  W. Brick, and her second husband, Donald V. Thompson.  Survived by: Son,
  Thomas R. Brick, Garrett RD 1; and two granddaughters, Tanya Ann and Susan
  Lynn Brick.  Sister of: R. David Ellis, Somerset RD 1; Mrs. Samuel
  (Josephine) Cramer, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Bernard (Joan) Bornyak, Hollister,
  Calif.; and John S. Ellis, Clearwater, Fla.  Member of Saints Peter and Paul
  Roman Catholic Church of Beaver.  Friends received 3-5, 7-9 p.m. Sunday at
  the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Monday at
  St. Peter's Catholic Church, Monsignor Samuel Tomaselli, celebrant.
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  Family suggests contributions to
  the American Cancer Society.  The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Sunday
  at the funeral home.
