Born Sept. 15, 1926, in Garrett, a son of Ruth (Pyle) Thompson, Erie, and the late Eugene Thompson. Survived by his wife of 37 years, the former Glenavey Brant; five children: Allen, married to the former Evelyn Sutton, Elizabeth; Norma, wife of Frank Ansell, Rockwood; Patricia (Thompson) Yancey, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Vicki (Thompson) Younkin, Somerset; Cheryl, Somerset; six grandchildren; brother of: Ernest Thompson, Cambridge Springs; Zola (Thompson) Colburn, Findley Lake, N.Y.; and Thomas Thompson, Erie. Veteran of WW II. Member of the Somerset VFW and Pinkerton Mill Company. Employee of Galliker's Dairy. Friends will be received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home Tuesday and Wednesday 7-9 p.m. Services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Don Judy officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
