Born in Hyndman Feb. 22, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Carrie E. Oster. Her husband, Winfield C. Thompson, died Jan. 15, 1978. She was affiliated with Hyndman Church of the Brethren. Surviving are four sons: A. Wayne Thompson, Glenn A. Thompson and Bill Thompson, all of Hyndman RD 1; and Edward Thompson, Wellersburg; six daughters: Mrs. Althea C. Rowley, also of Wellersburg; Mrs. Mary K. Garner, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Jean T. Keller, Hyndman; Mrs. A. Louise Martz, Mrs. Winny L. Martz and Mrs. H. Elaine Logsdon, all of an RD 1; 28 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman. Services were conducted Friday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Joseph R. Stains. Interment, Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery, RD 1. Pallbearers, all grandsons, were Kyle Martz, Chad Martz, Todd Martz, Brian Martz, Billy Thompson, Glennie Thompson, Darrell Rowley, Eric Rowley and John Varner. The Republic, March 3, 1988 [T306]
