Born Sept. 9, 1938, in Somerset. Married for 45 years to Sandra E., who passed away in November 2004. Son of Ray E., deceased, and Iva (Conn) of Somerset. Also preceded in death by sister Mary Holloway. Survived by sons, Ray W. Jr., married to Doreen Roberts, Cranberry Township; and Robert H., married to the former Cynthia Drummond, Boswell; grandchildren, Zachery, Nathan and Brianna; and siblings, Emma Walters, Margaret Klink, Betty Flowers, Hazel Pugh and Fred. "Pappy" was devoted to his grandkids and loved taking them for rides on the tractor or around the yard on the train he built, flying kites, and sharing a bowl of his favorite ice cream. Family and friends will miss driving by his shop and listening for the hum of power tools as he worked. Bill owned and operated RT Crafts and Concessions for many years and looked forward to the yearly reunions with friends he and Sandy made while working the Bedford, Cambria and Indiana County Fairs, Ford City Heritage Days, Somerfest, PumpkinFest and countless other festivals during summer and fall. He enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter to work carnivals and festivals and to help at a friend's fruit stand. At Bill's request, no public viewing or service. Private arrangements by the family.
