  Roy R. Thompson, 74, Friedens RD 1, died March 21, 1994, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Feb. 24, 1920, in Garrett, son of Oliver and Mary (Bittner)
  Thompson.  Preceded in death by parents and brothers: William, Earl, Herald
  and Charles.  Survived by his wife, the former Jean Neri, and two daughters:
  Mary Ann, wife of Robert Grotto, Montvale, N.J.; and Donna, at home.  Also
  two grandchildren: Dominick and Angelina Grotto.  Brother of: Ernest,
  married to Shirley Edmonson, Lorraine, Ohio; and Glenn, married to Louise,
  Norcross, Ga.; also numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.  Member of St.
  John's Catholic Church, Acosta, and Somerset Post 181 American Legion.
  Retired employee of Alcoa, Edgewater, N.J.  Army veteran of World War II.
  Friends received from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main
  Street, Boswell, where wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday.  Mass of
  Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Church, with the Rev.
  Father Raymond E. Karr officiating.  Interment, Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
