He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minerva J. Thrasher, and one son, John Thrasher, of Connellsville; also by two half-brothers, Calvin and Eli Weimer, of Sand Patch, Pa., and by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Thrasher lost a leg a number of years ago following typhoid fever, and the last few years his eyesight failed him. With all his afflictions and suffering he greeted everyone with a smile. A short service was held at the home on Friday afternoon by Rev. Mrs. Mary E. Richey of Addison and removed to the home of the son, John Thrasher, in Connellsville, by funeral director Charles A. McCormick of Connellsville. Funeral service was held at the son's home on Saturday afternoon and burial was made at Normalville. Meyersdale Republican, September 18, 1941
