  JOSEPH W. TIBBETTS 
  
  Joseph W. Tibbetts, 79, of Fairview, formerly of Piedmont, WV; died Sunday,
  Feb. 11, 1990 at Fairmont General Hospital in Fairmont, WV.  Born in
  Piedmont, WV, Feb. 15, 1911, he was the son of the late Joseph and Julia
  Tibbetts.  An Army veteran of World War II, he was retired from the Kirby
  Manufacturing Company, Cleveland, Ohio.  He is survived by his widow, Gladys
  (Morris) Tibbetts; one brother, James Tibbetts, Rivesville; one
  half-brother. Harold Windle, Piedmont. WV; two sisters, Gladys Beeman,
  Keyser, WV; Mildred Miller, Grantsville, Md.; and several nephews and
  nieces.  Friends were received at the Boal-Warnick Funeral Home,
  Westernport, Md. where services were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. by the
  Rev. Dana Spence.  Interment Bloomington Cemetery.  Members of Victory Post
  155, American Legion, Westernport, Md. served as pallbearers.
