Tice, 81, of Grantsville RD 2, Md., died at his residence Friday, January 17, 1986. Born in Middlefield, Ohio, May 27, 1904, he was a son of the late Daniel J. Tice and Catherine (Mast) Tice. He was a member of Mountain View Christian Fellowship, formerly serving on the board of the Amish Mennonite AMA. While serving in that position, he traveled to foreign countries, and had also served as bishop in local and neighboring states. He was retired from Yoder's Locker and served as a minister. He is survived by his widow, Mary (Yoder) Tice; one son, Henry Tice, Meyersdale; seven daughters : Mrs. Edna Kinsinger, Mrs. Lena Beachy, Miss Sara Tice, Miss Verda Tice, and Mrs. Martha Beachy, all of Grantsville, Md.; Mrs. Miriam Bender, Md.; miss Rachel Tice, Morgantown, W. Va.; one brother, Jonas Tice, Grantsville, Md.; two sisters: Mrs. Lydia Yoder and Mrs. Lizzie Yoder, both of Grantsville, Md.; 21 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 18 great -grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at Mountain View Christian Fellowship at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lewis Tice officiating. Interment, church cemetery. The Newman Funeral Horne was in charge of arrangements.
