Tice, 85, of 117 Mineral St., Salisbury, died Nov. 12, 2005, at his home. Born July 24, 1920, in Springs, the son of the late Jonas D. and Savilla (Yoder) Tice. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Simon and Raymond Tice. Surviving are his wife, Sarah (Swartzentruber) Tice; seven sons, Ezra (Joan) Tice, Gettysburg; Jacob (Marlene) Tice, Kent, Del.; Laban (Julia) Tice and Ephraim (Carolyn S.) Tice, all of Springs; Reuben (Carol) Tice and Aaron (Irene) Tice, all of Grantsville, Md.; Enos (Carolyn D.) Tice, Salisbury; one daughter, Orpha (James) Smucker, Harrisburg, Ore.; one brother, Lewis Tice and two sisters, Elizabeth Hershberger and Melda Miller, all of Grantsville; 14 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Mr. Tice was a retired dairy farmer and also coal miner. He was a member of Mountain View Mennonite Church. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Mennonite Church. The Rev. Jerry Yoder officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Michael, Adam, Joseph, Jonathan, Brian and Isaac Tice.
