Dewey Tinkey. 74, of Dilliner, Pa., West Point Marion, died Thursday, October 10, 1974, at his home. He was born February 11, 1900 in Scullton, Pa., and was the son of the late Samuel H. and Ida Pyle Tinkey. Member of the Faith Church of the Nazarene, Greensboro, Pa. and a former member of Silver Creek Lodge 315 IOOF, Crandon, Va. Retired coal miner, a member UMWA local union 6310. Survived by wife Stella Crawford Tinkey. A son Richard C. of McKeesport. Four daughters: Mrs. Wilmarine Conway and Mrs. Winifred Dillow, both of Point Marion; Mrs. Rose Marie Winkelvoss and Mrs. Donna Sumpter both of Sterling Park. Va. Eleven grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Three brothers: Floyd and Woodrow both of Somerset and Ralph Tinkey, Rockwood. Four sisters: Mrs. Sadie Locke and Mrs. Jean Baird both of Akron, Ohio: Mrs. Bertha Durst, Somerset; Mrs. Virginia Crooks, Poland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by two sons, Roy S. Tinkey, March 1970, and Willie James in infancy. The family is receiving friends in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Horne, Point Marion until noon Sunday. The body will be removed to the Faith Church of the Nazarene, Greensboro, Pa. where funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Interment, Wolf's Cemetery.
