Otto Zane Tinkey, 67, of Manns Choice, passed away on Aug. 8, 2001, at Lee Hospital in Johnstown. Born Oct. 16, 1933, in Westmoreland County. Son of the late Ralph and Ruth (Blystone) Tinkey. Preceded in death by parents, sister Wilma Trent, and brothers William and Glenn Tinkey. Survived by wife of 42 years, Lois (Barber) Tinkey; children Carla Setto of Plains; Rebecca, married to Donald Wilson of Dayton, Ohio; Judith, married to Ronald Shaffer of Hamburg; and Douglas, married to Julie Tinkey of Harrisburg; and 12 grandchildren. Brother of Ralph Tinkey Jr. of Edie, Nancy Harr of Somerset, and Dean Tinkey and James Tinkey, both of Rockwood. He was a retired minister of the Western Pa. Conference of the United Methodist Church where he served 42 years and ministered to 33 different churches in Kansas, Ohio and Pennsylvania. He received a Doctorate of Divinity degree in 1968 at the Methodist School of Theology in Ohio. Friends will be received 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Rev. Jeffrey Walsh and Joseph Puleo officiating.
