Tinkey, 69, Somerset RD 3, died March 8, 1982, at his home. He was born Feb. 10, 1913, in Barronville, son of the late Samuel and Ida (Pyle) Tinkey. He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Ronald (Vera) Burkett, Somerset; Mrs. Thomas (Florence) Smith, Somerset RD 7; three sons: Lawrence, Somerset RD 7; Lewis, Somerset RD 3; Devin, Friedens; five grandchildren; one brother, Ralph, Rockwood RD 3; four sisters: Mrs. Sadie Locke, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Jean McKenna, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. William (Bertha) Durst, Somerset RD 1; and Mrs. Robert ( Virginia) Crooks, Poland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Almeda (Shawley) Tinkey in 1975. Also preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one grandson. Friends were received at the L. Boyd Snyder Funeral Home. Rt. 711, Stahlstown, where funeral services were held with the Rev. Zane Tinkey officiating. Interment, Mt. Nebo Cemetery. The Republic, March 11, 1982 [356]
