Born February 21, 1890 in Morrison's Cove, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lottie (Schroyer) Sellers. She was preceded in death by first husband, Edgar Berkley; and her second husband, Freeman Tipton; also two brothers: Blaine and Howard; and two sisters: Mrs. Virgie Blackburn and Mrs. Dessie Bittner. She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Simeon (Helen) Metrinko of Meyersdale RD 3 and Mrs. William (Shirley) Huff of Harrisburg; also four grandchildren. A sister of Mrs. Nellie Stanton of Kingwood, W. Va. and Mrs. Mabel Higgs of Friedens. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Meyersdale for 75 years; member of the Meyersdale Garden Club; American War Mothers; Pennsylvania Grange; Summit Homemakers; Golden Agers; Senior Citizens; organizer of the business and professional women in Meyersdale; and she was active in all branches of the American Red Cross during World War I and II for which she was presented a 50-year pin for service. Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home in Meyersdale where services were conducted Saturday with the Rev. Timothy Storms officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery.
