  FREEMAN R. TIPTON 
  
  Freeman R. Tipton, 85, of 224 Broadway, Meyersdale, died April 2 in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.  He was born Jan. 12, 1891 in Allegheny
  Township, the son of the late John W. and Emma (Reitz) Tipton.  He was
  preceded in death by his first wife, Lena Deeter, a son William, six
  brothers and sisters.  Survived by his second wife, the former Anna Berkley,
  Meyersdale; also two sons Robert, Lancaster, and Jack, Falls Church, Va.;
  five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  He was a member of Holy
  Trinity Lutheran Church, and the American Legion Post 445, both of Berlin.
  He was a veteran of World War I.  Services were conducted in Johnson and Son
  Funeral Home April 5, the Rev. Paul E. Snyder officiating.  Interment, Berlin
  IOOF Cemetery.
