  TIPTON 
  
  Jack E. Tipton, 49, of Rockwood RD 3, died Thursday in Somerset Community
  Hospital.  He was born Jan. 25, 1924, in Friedens, a son of Roy and Mary
  Faidley Tipton.  He is survived by his wife, Alice Wigstrom of RD 3,
  Rockwood, three sons, Randy K. of Wyoming, Pa., Jack E. and Kurt D., both
  at home, one brother, James K. Tipton of Port Hueneme, Calif.  He was
  preceded in death by his parents, one infant brother and one infant sister.
  He was a member of the Rockwood American Legion, the New Centerville Fire
  Co. and the American Association of School Administrators.  He was
  superintendent of Rockwood Area Schools.  Friends will be received in the
  William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, 2 to
  4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Saturday where services will be conducted at 2 p.m.
  on Sunday with the Rev. H. B. Sizemore officiating.  Interment in the
  Jenners Crossroads Cemetery.
