  TIPTON
  
  Jack C. Tipton, 58, Falls Church, Va., formerly of Berlin, died March 23,
  1988, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, Md.  Born April 16, 1929,
  in Berlin, son of Freeman and Lena "Lynn" (Deeter) Tipton.  Preceded in
  death by parents; brothers, Robert and William.  Survived by his wife, the
  former Janet Day; daughter, Holly, and son, Michael, both at home.  Member
  of Falls Church Presbyterian Church.  Graduate of Berlin-Brothersvalley High
  School and the University of Pittsburgh.  He was the planning and convention
  manager for A.P.M.A.  He was a former employee of the Somerset Daily
  American and the American Red Cross.  Memorial service will be held Sunday
  at 4 p.m. at the Falls Church Presbyterian Church.  Graveside services at 3
  p.m. Monday at Berlin IOOF Cemetery, Dr. Carl Nissen officiating.  No
  visitation or viewing.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American
  Red Cross.  Arrangements by Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, formerly the
  Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home.
