TIPTON, Wayne Landon

Wayne Landon Tipton, 70, Somerset, died July 17, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. 
Born July 19, 1936, in Friedens, a son of Harvey Albert and Margaret Helen 
(Beech) Tipton. Preceded in death by parents; and son, Christopher Tipton. 
Survived by wife, the former Carolyn Jean Barndt, to whom he was married 13 
years; children, Mrs. David (Kimberly) Blough, Bethel Park; Melissa Tipton, 
Bethel Park; and Jeffrey Barndt, Somerset; grandchildren, Angel and Teresa 
Blough and Michael, Bradley, Matthew, Jimmy and Zack. Brother of Mrs. Ruth 
Casleton, Somerset; Richard E. Tipton, married to the former Geraldine Hittie, 
Broadview Heights, Ohio; and Frederick M. Tipton, married to the former, Deanna 
Gindlesperger, Parma, Ohio. A1955 graduate of Somerset High School. Had worked 
as a psychiatric aide for the Somerset State Hospital, retiring in 1996 with 32 
years of service, also a member of Friedens Lutheran Church. Friends received 
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, 
Somerset, where a service will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Edward
