  GEORGE TIRKO 
  
  George Tirko, 49, of Listie, died Jan. 28, 1979 in the Somerset Community
  Hospital.  He was born Jan. 10, 1935 in Listie, the son of William and
  Florence (Dayton) Tirko.  He was preceded in death by parents two brothers
  and two sisters.  He is survived by wife Eveline JoAnn (Putman) Tirko; one
  son, Donald, married to the former Beverly Bowersox; and a daughter) Diane
  Lynn at home; and these brothers and sisters: William, Jr. of Wilkes-Barre;
  John of Arlington, Va.; Julia Sellers of Central City; Sally Reese of
  Rockwood RD 2; Joseph of Friedens; Shirley Drake and Cahterine Mickey, both
  of Listie; Mary Bell and Mildred Landsman, both of Somerset RD 7; Almeda
  Shaffer, Ann Shaffer, Ella May Rubis and Elizabeth Direncin, all of
  Somerset.  He was a member of the Listie Lutheran Church; veteran of the
  Korean War; member of VFW Post 554 Somerset.  Friends were received in the
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services were conducted at the
  Listie Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert E. Thomas officiating.
  Interment, Casebeer Cemetery.
