Titcomb, 85, went to be with family and friends on Nov. 11, 2003, in Syracuse, N.Y. He was born in New Goucester, Maine on Feb. 22, 1918, the son of Ernest Titcomb and Hazel Berry Titcomb. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gertrude (Neilan) Titcomb, and nine children: Thayer Miller and family, Marathon, N.Y.; Claire (John) Ders, South Otselic, N.Y.; Stephen Titcomb and family, Richmond, Vt.; Jack Titcomb and family, Mahopac. N.Y.; Kenneth Titcomb, Acron, Ohio; David Titcomb and family Tarrytown, N.Y., Mary Titcomb, Garry, and family; Nancy Titcomb and family, Cazenovia, N.Y., Lisa Bugaj and family, Hamburg, N.Y. Also 19 grandchildren, one niece, Gail Brarmann, Blue Jay, Calif., and one nephew, John Brarmann, Topsfield, Mass. Stanley served in the Marine Corps as a radar officer in the Pacific Theatre 52 and retired as captain. He was chief scientist at Continental Bakery and was active as a Boyscout father and band parent in Port Chester, N.Y. He will be be remembered as a great dad and extremely loving husband. Private services were held at the convenience of family. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by the A.C. Baker and Son Funeral Home, marathon, N.Y.
