Toath, 74, Hollsopple, died March 23, 1997, at home. Born Sept. 21, 1922, in Jenners, daughter of Enoch and Mary (Edlin) Desort. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Annie; brothers, Frank, Fred and Enoch. Survived by husband of 55 years, John Toath, and these children: John, Freehold, N.J.; Emily M. Berkebile, Hollsopple; Patricia McCullough, Dale City, Va., and Richard, Hollsopple; nine grandchildren: Dawn Julian, Jennifer Toath, Laura Drenner, Robert Berkebile, Dawn Debriac, Charles McCullough, Amanda Toath, Richard Jr. and Todd Toath, and six great-grandchildren. A sister of Helen H. Degon, Maryland; Marie Desort, New Jersey; Carl Desort, Georgia, and Mildred Pelleau, Maryland. A member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Davidsville. Employed by Bestform of Wildber for eight years. Family receiving friends from 7-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Soc., Davidsville. Wake service at 8:15 Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne's Catholic Church, the Rev. Conrad Salach. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Windber Hospice.
