Tokar Sr., 74, of Friedens RD 2, died Dec. 22, 1986, at his residence. Born Oct. 30, 1912, in Quemahoning Township, son of the late George and Mary (Simko) Tokar. Also preceded in death by sister, Julia Malak. Survived by wife, the former Rose Macyda. Death ends a marriage union of 53 years. Survived by these children: William Jr., married to the former Wanda Kawolczyk of Somerset RD 2; and Mrs. Betty Lapina, Levittown; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Brother of: John, married to Dorothy Stull, Stoystown RD 3; Mrs. Margaret Golembesky of Friedens RD 2; Mrs. Elizabeth Finegan of New York; Mrs. John (Helen) DePhillips of Somerset. Retired Somerset County coal miner and was formerly employed by Somerset Area Schools. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church, where he was a former council member. Member of Somerset County Old Timers Baseball Association and UMWA, Jenners. Family wil receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Remains will be moved to Friedens Lutheran Church to lie in state from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. James R. Ling officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
