Tomlinson, 69, of Center Street, Central City, died June 4, 1999, at Windber Medical Center. Born April 5, 1930, in Lonaconing, Md., son of Martin Luther Tomlinson and Artie (May) Tomlinson-Martin-McCreary. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Irvin Martin and Harry E. Clites. Survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, the former Hazel K. Smith; sons, David L., married to former Catherine A. McFarlin, Virginia Beach, Va., and Jeffrey E., married to former Lisa K. Hordubay, Buffalo Mills; grandchildren: Latasha, Kyle, Erik and Elizabeth Tomlinson. Brother of Virgil Tomlinson of North Huntingdon; Myrtle Whitehead of Verona, Grant Tomlinson of Manns Choice, Darrell Tomlinson of Windber and Lloyd Martin of Buffalo Mills. Retired from U.S. Steel, Johnstown. Member of Central City United Methodist Church and lifetime member of the NRA. An avid hunter and outdoorsman. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Rev. Alice Jean Parker officiating.
