  Maria "Mary" Tonolini, 79, of 181 School Ave., Jerome, died Jan. 7, 1989,
  at Memorial Hospital.  Born July 11, 1909, in Brescia, Italy, daughter of
  Peter and Josephine (Chiapini) Ferre.  Preceded in death by parents;
  husband, Giacomo "Jack," died May 3, 1965; son, Lewis, died Oct. 24, 1963;
  son-in-law, Frank Sopich, died Dec. 24, 1988; sister, Catherine; and
  brother, Bertolo.  Survived by daughter, Antoinette "Nina" Sopich, Jerome;
  son, James, Rumford, Me.; nephews, Lester and Albert Brunell, both of
  Somerset; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.  Sister of: M.V., Akron,
  Ohio; Jennie Underwood, Somerset; Donald "Joe," Seminole, Fla.; and
  Constance, Boswell.  Member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Jerome; Altar
  Society; Jerome Firemen's Auxiliary; and Auxiliary to Jerome American
  Legion Post #802, where she served as past president.  Jerome resident for
  past 62 years.  Friends were received Sunday evening and will be received
  2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main St., Boswell, where
  Wake Service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday.  Mass of Christian Burial 10
  a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Church, Father Conrad Salach, O.F.M. Conv.
  Interment, Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
