ELLEN M. TOOLAND

  Mrs. Ellen M. Tooland, 72, widow of James H. Tooland of Glencoe, died last 
Friday at the home of her son, John Tooland, of McKeesport.  She was a daughter 
of William and Kate (Kaufman) Tressler and was born in Larimer, Pa., on February 
21, 1870.  Surviving are four children: Mrs. Mabel Tooland, Glencoe; Miss 
Katherine Tooland, East Stroudsburg; Ada Tooland, Glencoe, and John Tooland, 
mentioned above.  She was a sister of John and Grant Tressler, both of 
Cumberland, Md.; C. J. Tressler, Shaw, W.Va.; Mrs. Daniel Shoemaker, Meyersdale, 
and Sarah Tressler, Somerset.  Five grandchildren also survive.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon in the local 
Reformed Church by Rev. Gindlesperger.  Interment in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery 
under the direction of the Johnson Funeral Home of Berlin.
