Born September 18, 1914, in Mance, she was the daughter of the late Albert C. and Annie M. (Arnold) Meyers. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Ralph E. Beal; daughter, Mildred P.; and son, Eugene E. Beal. Mrs. Beal worked at Glen L. Martin Aircraft during WWII in Baltimore, Md. For many years, she and her family farmed near Mance. After leaving the farm, she moved to Ohio and retired from the May Company in Cleveland, Ohio. She has resided in Washington for the last 25+ years. Survivors include her husband, Oral North; daughter, Dolores E. (Beal) Couture and husband George J. Couture, of Omark , Wash.; daughter, Linda L. (Beal) Miller and husband Ray F. Miller of Eloy, Ariz.; daughter-in-law, Elfriede Beal; and three grandsons: Eugene E., Jeffrey S. and Ralph W. Beal of Ashland, Ohio; and several great-grandchildren. Also stepson, Donald North and wife Judy North of Richland, Ore. Family and friends were received at the Precht-Harrison Funeral Home, Okanogan, on Tues., Dec. 28. Services were held at 10 a.m. Wed, Dec. 29 at the Home's chapel. Interment was in the Okanogan Memorial Garden. New Republic, December 30, 2004
