Toth, 65, of Hooversville died May 5, 1978 at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born June 4, 1912 in Windber, he was a son of the late John and Irma (Bertsel) Toth. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Forquer. He resided in Hooversville since 1937. He is survived by widow, the former Mary Knecht and these children: Irma, wife of Daniel Besseck of McKees Rocks; Joanne, wife of William Calaway of Hagerstown, Md.; Marion, wife of John Przybyla of Richland Township; and John M., married to the former Rochelle Lingenfelter of Hooversville RD 1; also nine grandchildren. Death ended a marriage union of 45 years. He was a brother of Mrs. Helen Muzi of Johnstown; Steve of Sealp Level; and Mrs. Pearl Holpit of Hooversville. He was a manner of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville; Windber Rotary; Loeal 6401, United Mine Workers of America; Second Vice President of Windber Chapter, Holmes Safety Assoeiation. Former Hooversville Councilman; retired as coal operator after 50 years. Friends were reeeived at Thomas P. Read Funeral Home, Hooversville. Funeral Mass was held at the Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Stanley Zubricki officiating. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery. The Republic, May 11, 1978 [T426]
