Born Sept. 16, 1917, in Bradenville, son of Steve Sr. and Anna (Matura) Tranovich. Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the former Rosa, Moulds; son, Steve III; daughter, Ruthie; brother, Mike, and sisters: Mary Zopotoski, Margie Oravec and Annie Harodetski. Survived by a daughter, June Retassie, Boswell; eight grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Brother of Susan Karackorowski, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Helen Kostic, Cairnbrook, and Katie Bottoroff, Central City. Several nieces and nephews and also very special friends Mary Ohler, Mary Viton and their families. World War II Army veteran. Retired coal miner. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville; UMWA, and Hooversville 13 Star Post VFW. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where Vigil for the Deceased will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville, Rev. Romulus Rosolowski OFM, Cony. Committal, P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville.
