Born September 8, 1923 in Ronco, Pa., she is the daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Collins) Johnston. Also preceded in death by husband, Eugene W. Trent, son, Bradley Edward Trent, grandson, Craig Allen Pearson, sisters, Evelyn Johnston. Louise Glover and Grace Shroyer and brother Russell. Survived by children: Rodney Trent married to the former Viola Basham of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Richard A. (Brenda) Pearson and Mrs. Roger (Shelby) Bailey both of Somerset. Grandchildren: Allen Eugene, Carol Jean and Kimberly Ann Trent, Timothy Richard, Matthew Lee and Tiffany Rae Pearson. Great-grandchildren: Joshua, A.J. and Zachariah Trent, Grace and Richard Marto, Zoe Katherine Pearson. Step-great-grandchildren David and Melissa DeSimone, Alexandra Younkin and Paige Platter. Sister of Elanor Mansberry of Connellsville and Willard Johnston of Melcroft. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Bykota Circle. Lifetime member of Wills Grange and volunteered at the Somerset Food Pantry, Worked as a beautician at the Miller Beauty Shop in Somerset and also with her daughter. Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert I. Hoover officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park. There will be viewing at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service.
