  Florence Ruth Trent, 86, of Friedens died Jan. 2, 2003 at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Nov. 18, 1916 in Hooversville a daughter of John Scott and
  Mary (Haughton) Marshall.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold
  Miller Trent who died May 1, 1980; two brothers John G. and Robert A.
  Marshall and a sister Ethel Summits.  Survived by children: Larry Allen
  Trent married to the former Arlene Burns of Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. David W.
  (Shirley) Williams of Somerset; Susan L. Trent of Friedens; grandchildren:
  Carolyn S. Williams, wife of Thomas Hagler of Chicago, Ill.; Michael D.
  Williams of Listie; David A. Trent married to the former Mary Mashing of
  Carroll, Iowa; Jennifer A. Trent of Tipton, Iowa; and Amy L. wife of Melvin
  Gonnerman Jr. of Waverly, Iowa; one great-grandson, Marshall Thomas Trent
  Gonnerman.  Sister of Mrs. William (Charlotte) Carbone of Hooversville; John
  J. "Jack" Marshall of Hudson, Fla. and Mrs. Dorothy Weible of Hollsopple.  A
  1934 graduate of Hooversville High School.  Friends received from 7 to 9
  p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home where a service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday with Rev.
  Gerald E. Deffenbaugh officiating.  Interment, Pike Run Cemetery, Brotherton.
