Trent died at his home in Akron, O., at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, of organic heart disease. He was born in Boynton, Pa., on November 22, 1885, son of Mary Saville (Garlitz) and Boaz Trent, and was 62 years, 2 months and 16 days in age at his death. Mr. Trent was a former resident of Salisbury, but during the last 25 years lived in Akron where he followed his trade of carpenter. He was a lifelong member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Etta (Walker) Trent; two daughters, Mrs. Elaine Rapee and Mrs. Carol Smith, all of Akron; and five sisters: Mrs. Porter Hartline, Florida; Mrs. Ruth Garver, Harrisburg, Pa.; Mrs. Marjorie Motto, Cleveland, O.; Mrs. Edith Anderson, Cessna, Pa., and Mrs. Pauline Hillegas, Boynton and by four grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, February 10, at 2:00 p.m., in the Thomas Funeral Chapel, Salisbury. Rev. Ira S. Monn, pastor of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church officiated at the services. Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in charge of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas.
