TRENT, Katherine J. "Kay"

Katherine J. "Kay" Trent, 83, Somerset, died Oct. 19, 2007, at Somerset 
Hospital. Born April 24, 1924, in Butler, the daughter of the late John Alvin 
and Anna (Manges) Thomas. Also preceded in death by a grandson, Jamie O'Leary; 
brothers, Abe, Joseph, John and Floyd Thomas; and sisters, Martha Petran, 
Lucille Ritchey, Mary Miller and Kathleen Miller. Survived by her husband, 
Kenneth V. Trent; children, Kenneth V. Trent Jr., Mooresville, N.C.; and Mrs. 
James (Janet A.) O'Leary, Madison, Ohio; grandchildren, Douglas Trent, Mrs. 
Christopher (Katherine) Brandt and Colleen O'Leary. Member of First Christian 
Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a devoted wife, mother and 
grandmother. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Robert 
H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. 
Monday. The Rev. Daniel Nicksich officiating. Interment in Western Reserve 
Memorial Gardens, Chesterland, Ohio. Contributions may be made to Somerset 
Hospital, 225 South Center Ave., Somerset, PA 15501.
