TRENT, Ronald D. 

Ronald D. Trent, 69, Friedens, died May 10, 2008, at UPMC Montefiore, 
Pittsburgh. Born May 13, 1938,  in Friedens (Stonycreek Township), the son of 
the late Ralph and Magdalene (Miller)  Trent. Survived by his wife of  47 years, 
the former Patti Stutzman; children, Rhonda Henry, married to Doug, Friedens; 
Robin Miller, married to Dave, Salco; Brian Trent, married to the former Lori 
Swank, Somerset; and Michael Trent, at home; grandchildren, Brandon Henry, 
Ashley Trent, Amanda Rosenberger, married to Jamie, and Brianna and Josh Trent. 
He was a 1956 graduate of Shanksville- Stonycreek High School and a lifelong 
dairy farmer. A member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and the NRA. He 
served on the Shanksville-Stonycreek School board for 20 years, eight of which 
he served as board president. He loved farming, tractor pulling, hunting and 
spending time with his family.  Family will receive friends from  2 to 4 and 7 
to 9 p.m. Tuesday at  the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be 
held 11 a.m. Wednesday.  The Rev. Paul Yanke officiating.  Interment at the 
Trent Farm  Cemetery. Memorial contributions  May be made in his name to "In 
Touch" Hospice, 223 S. Pleasant Ave., Suite 103, Somerset, PA 15501, or to the 
American Cancer Society, Somerset Unit, 168 W. Union St., Somerset, PA 15501-
1454.
