Born Nov. 8, 1912, in Wells Creek, Somerset Township, son of Morris Musser and Sarah Jane (Day) Trent. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Grace Elizabeth Ream, who died April 19, 1994; brothers, Merle, Clyde, Frank, Harvey and Jack Trent; and sisters Gladys Gluhak and Vietta Baer. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Larry L. (Judith) Longley, Rossville, Ga.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Michael (Susan) Howard, Flintstone, Ga. and one great-grandson, Stephen M. "Trey" Howard III. Brother of Mrs. Mary A. Witt of Somerset, Mrs. Dora Logue of Somerset, Kenneth V. Trent of Sandra Lane, Somerset, Eddie Trent of Plymouth, Mich. and Bill Trent of Beaver, Pa. Member of Christ Casebeer Evangelical Lutheran Church. World War II veteran of the Merchant Marine. Sign foreman for PennDOT, retiring in 1977. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday, at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, at Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church. Rev. James R. Ling officiating.
