Trent of Frederica, Del., died of respiratory failure m March 15, 2002, in the VA Hospital Elsmere, Delaware. He was 54. Mr. Trent was born June 6, 1947, in Somerset. Son of John and Mary Ludy Trent. He retired from Dover Air Force Base after serving 25 years during which he served 2 years in Vietnam. He also served during Panama Crisis "Just Cause" and Persian Gulf "Desert Storm" and "Desert Shield." During the Vietnam War, he received 5 Distinguished Flying Crosses and 15-plus air medals and nany other ribbons and medals. After retiring from the service, he worked for the Felton Post Office, and also as a Security Guard at the Walmart in Milford, Del., until he went on 100 percent disability. Mr. Trent was a very loving father and a friend to all. He had a big heart. He was preceded in death by a son, William E. Trent Jr., and a brother, Robert R. Trent. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Orbanna A. Durst Trent: Two daughters, Kelly McCallister and husband Benson of Ramstein, Germany, and Nicole Trent at home; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Jerry Fenna, Sherri and Gary Paugh, all of Listie, and Deborah and Kevin Werner of Berlin, Pa.; two brothers, James Trent of Listie, and Rob and April Trent of Shanksville; three grandchildren, William E. Trent III and Brooke and Brandon McCallister, and many, many friends. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2002, at 6 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, Union St., Somerset, Pa.
