Tressler, 79, of Star Route, Springs, died September 14, 1984 at her residence. Born in Grantsvtlle, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late John A. Butler and Savila (Bittinger) Butler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Resley Tressler. She was a member of the Springs Mennonite Church, and the WMSA (sewing circle). She is survived by six stepsons, Duane Tressler, Don Tressler, both of Salisbury; Bradley Tressler, Del Ray Beach, Fla.; Maryin Tressler, Cresaptown, Maryland; Mark Tressler, Jarrettsville, Md., and Abram Tressler, Colorado Springs, Colo.; four step daughters, Mrs. Beulah Maust and Mrs. Marvette Hollada, both of Springs; Mrs. Violet Hovatter, Fort Hill; Mrs. Evelyn Doerr, Accident, Maryland; two brothers, Jay Woodrow Butler and Alton Butler, both of Grantsville; live sisters, Mrs. Emma Mathias, Meyersdale; Mrs. Melds Butler, Grantsville; Mrs. Pearl Stringer, and Mrs. Evelyn Hudacheck, both of Brownsville; and Mrs. Elma Durst, Meyersdale, 42 step-grandchildren, 34 step-great-grandchildren, and six step-great-greatgrandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services were conducted September 17 at 11 a.m. in the Springs Mennonite Church with the Rev. Walter Otto and Rev. Steve Heatwole officiating.
