Born Aug. 30, 1919, in Henry Clay Township, a son of the late Arthur and Sadie (Hentzel) Tressler. Survived by his wife, Roberta (Foster) Tressler; three sons, Blair Jr., Orange, Texas; Mark, Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Alan, Rock Springs, Wyo.; three daughters, Karen Ohler, Scullion; Susan Thomas, Lyman, Wyo.; and Paula Norris, Minot Air Force Base, Minot, N.D.; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, George, Everett, and Howard, all of Confluence; and seven sisters, Marie Weller, Markleton; Margaret Lee, Kingwood; Leona Nolf, and Virginia Rugg, both of Confluence; Betty Faidley, Markleton; Ruth Crawford, McKeesport; and Mabel Shipley, Niles, Ohio. Preceded in death by a brother, Warren. A veteran of World War II and the United States Navy, he was a former member of the Ursina America Legion Post 946, the Confluence VFW Post 7250 and a member of the DuQuoin Lodge F.& A.M. No. 234 of DuQuoin, Ill. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
